As you may or may not have already read in the news, an Equibrand factory in Granbury, Texas, was destroyed by a fire on Nov. 30. This factory manufactured Classic and Rattler ropes and a selection of saddle pads that we proudly carry at Murdoch’s.
The fire started early in the morning, before any employees had arrived. Thankfully, no one was injured. We are told that Equibrand plans to rebuild as quickly as possible. Per Classic rope’s Facebook page: “We will rebuild. We will start tomorrow.”
As a company whose products have served Murdoch’s customers with dependability over the years, Equibrand, its team members, and their families are in our thoughts. We wish everyone strength during an already difficult time, and our hearts are feeling for you especially with the holiday season upon us.
One thing is certain: we know the folks at Equibrand will come back bigger and better in 2016 once this loss has been hurdled. They lost their property, but they did not lose their spirit, nor their drive to provide the very best products on the market. This is their true asset.
Strength of character, determination, and performance are found in their products because they also live in the hearts of the people who make them.
To our shared customers, if you have difficulty finding a favorite rope or saddle pad, please feel free to inquire with Murdoch’s customer service and we will do our best to take care of you; however, please do keep in mind that supplies may be limited for a short time while Equibrand is rebuilding.
