The only way Cheyenne store manager Ben Scott knows how to get ready for so many burgers, is to use a wheelbarrow.
The next Famous 25-cent BBQ is Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, in celebration of Murdoch’s Annual Carhartt Sale.
When Murdoch’s hosts one of our famous 25-cent BBQ’s, we estimate about 27,000 burgers are served up to our customers in all 30 stores across five states. We buy the food and supplies, and local nonprofit organizations flip patties, turn hot dogs, and help clean up the mess afterward.

These BBQ’s are one of our very favorite ways to help organizations raise funds. While we only require a 25-cent contribution, the kind folks who shop at our stores are almost always willing to chip in a few extra bucks when they see kids and families working hard to support their cause.
Often, you’ll see 4H clubs, Boy Scout troops, pet shelter volunteers, and FFA clubs working to earn funds for special projects, equipment purchases, and educational trips. And there are always good deals to be had in the stores.
If every person who purchased a plate of food at a Murdoch’s BBQ gave a dollar, that’d be $27,000 raised in a single day for 30 different local organizations.
We hope you’ll join us for the next one! BBQ’s are always at 11 am to 1pm, or while supplies last. Limit two servings per customer.
