Before: Chase tried Working Hands for 13 days. Here's a before shot of his calloused hands.
It’s easy to be a skeptic, especially when products make seemingly too good to be true promises. As shoppers, we’ve heard it all before: Money Back Guarantee or Guaranteed Results, with tiny disclaimers noting that individual results may vary and to allow six months to process a refund. So, we put this one to the test.
Mind you, this is very unscientific. But I prefer unscientific, because real life isn’t a science lab.
I gave a jar of O’Keeffe’s Working Hands cream to a Murdoch’s employee who moves tons of inventory. I asked him to try to remember to use it once a day, but if he forgot not to worry… because in real life, people forget. I also didn’t ask him to apply it more than one time a day, which seems excessive and unlikely. His hands were noticeably dry, but they weren’t cracked and bleeding or anything at the time. Lastly, I told him I wanted the honest truth.
Here’s what he had to say afterward.
O’Keeffe’s Working Hands Product Review
Name, Location & Position: Chase Burgan, Murdoch’s Animal Health Dept. Associate in Bozeman store
How many days have you been using O’keeffe’s Working Hands? 13 days
How often did you put it on your hands? Every morning and after showering, so once a day or more.
Describe your hands before using it? Cracked knuckles, calloused, dry
Describe your hands after using it? Not dry, softer. The biggest thing was my knuckles. They would bleed, crack and sting. Yeah, it’s uncomfortable. It was quite surprising the difference it made especially in the wintertime with it being so dry here.
Tell us why your hands get dried/cracked: The dry Montana air, I guess. It’s a high dry desert climate.
What kind of work do you do? I’m always around dry feed, outside, working in the yard, driving a forklift.
On a scale of 1 -5 (1 is bad, 5 is amazing) how much do you like the product? What did you like about it? 4 or 4.5 if you can do that? My hands don’t hurt. It stopped them from starting to bleed. I’ve tried lotion but none of it seems to work. It’s not greasy and it dries right away, so nothing slips when I’m working. Doesn’t smell at all.
So, there you have it. Chase says it works!
And just to be sure, I checked the O’Keeffe’s website to find out how hard it would be to process a Money Back Guarantee. Here’s what they say:
“If you are not fully satisfied with the performance of O’Keeffe’s products, we will refund 100% of the purchase price. Simply return the unused portion of the cream and the receipt to: 4550 Red Bank Expressway, Cincinnati, OH 45227 for a prompt refund.”
