If you don’t think your clothes can help you work harder, you aren’t working hard enough. Carhartt Force Extremes is the next big thing to hit work wear apparel, and Murdoch’s has an exclusive preview of what to expect from Carhartt’s latest product development.
First, there was Carhartt Force
In 2013, Carhartt launched its original Carhartt Force product line. It features a cotton/poly fabric blend with Fast Dry wicking technology to move sweat away from the body. It also has Stain Breaker technology to make washing easier, and it has a handy chest pocket for on-the-job needs. Carhartt Force products do their job, and they do it well. This spring, however, Carhartt is upping the ante.
Now, there is Carhartt Force Extremes
In mid-March 2016, Carhartt is introducing Carhartt Force Extremes products at a handful of select retailers; Murdoch’s is one of them. What’s so extreme? The fabric technology.
The fabric Carhartt is using for Force Extremes is 60% normal polyester and 40% polyester infused with “37.5 particles.” These particles are made from natural materials – volcanic ash and coconut husks to be specific. Without getting so nitty gritty that you’d need a degree in textiles development and rocket science, these particles don’t stop with wicking sweat away from the body. They actually wick sweat away from your body, and then they speed evaporation so the clothing dries even faster. They do this by increasing the surface area of a normal polyester fiber. Additionally, these particles will insulate your body during colder temperatures. Pretty slick.
When does it get Extreme?
Carhartt is launching shirts and pants with Force Extremes technology just in time for spring days that start with cooler temperatures, but heat up quickly. At Murdoch’s, we are one of the first retailers to be able to offer the new products to our customers! Our shipments are in stock and ready to go to work for you! Carhartt is launching men’s Force Extremes products first, then ladies’ Force Extremes. Check out the video above to learn more about this new technology!
