In case you missed it, Miranda Lambert made headlines on the 2015 CMA stage rocking an embellished denim top, black jeans, and pink highlights in her hair while performing Bathroom Sink. She was stunning, honest, and classy throughout the night.
Since imitation is the greatest form of flattery, we pulled Miranda’s outfit together from her oh-so-memorable performance.
Here’s how you can take Miranda’s outfit inspiration and wear country basics like an everyday rockstar… as in, without pink hair.
Replica: Miranda Lambert CMA 2015 Performance Outfit
Miranda’s denim top has really fun crystals and rhinestones adorning the shoulders. That much bling shines bright on the stage. Take it down one notch in your outfit by trying lace, smaller sparklies, or embroidery on the shoulder. This denim top from Cedar Rose nails it. It pairs embroidery that hints at a lace design with tiny little shimmers on the shoulders. The shimmers are replicated on chest pockets.
Underneath her denim top, Miranda wore a solid black layer with a very simple v-neckline. It off-sets the lines, impact and structure of the denim top and gives the denim top the limelight.
Notice that she chose not to wear a necklace, which could be because of her rhinestone guitar strap. To dress up Miranda’s look, you could easily add a pretty necklace. Just keep it on the simple side to let your denim shirt be the star piece.
Rolling your sleeves adds texture and weight to your outfit without adding additional layers. If rolling your sleeves up past your elbows doesn’t quite feel right, just turn the cuffs once for the same effect.
Black Skinny Jeans
Black skinny jeans, like these from Miss Me, are the country version of a little black dress. Buy a pair that fits you really well, and you can wear them anywhere, anytime, with anything and always be dressed for the occasion.
Miranda paired her black skinnies with black stilettos, which definitely worked on the stage, but let’s be honest… most women who live a country life look for ways to avoid wearing heels that are thinner than our pinky finger. We went with a gray boot from Corral, but the options are limitless.
Miranda’s jacket, pink guitar and pink hair were really bold, so she didn’t need sequins on her jeans. If you opt for pink hair and often carry around a pink guitar, you might not need embellished black denim, either! These are mid-rise Miss Me jeans, and the fit is worth a try.
