Cool Vantage: Cowboys Don’t Wear Shorts

Chores don’t do themselves… especially on hot summer days. And cowboys don’t wear shorts.

Even on the hottest days, you can spot cowboys in their Wranglers doing the day’s work without complaint. But not complaining doesn’t mean not sweating. When you sweat, ordinary denim can bind, restricting your range of motion and making an already long day even longer.

Knowing cowboys always keep their cool, Wrangler is introducing Premium Performance Cool Vantage Jeans. Let’s break this down together.

First, let’s talk about what Premium Performance means. This type of denim has been in the Wrangler lineup for a while. Premium Performance denim is akin to comfort and durability. The fabric allows a working man to do his job with unrestricted range of motion and two times more durability than regular denim.

Next – and this is the new cool part – there’s Cool Vantage. Cool Vantage is Wrangler’s new sweat-control technology. Cool Vantage wicks away sweat and moisture by pulling it to the outside of the jeans, enabling it to evaporate five times faster than jeans without this feature, says the company.

Joe Broyles was Wrangler’s lead developer on the Cool Vantage project. “The technology is blended in and extruded into a polyester yarn,” he said.

Ashley Harris, Wrangler Western Male Merchandiser, told us Wrangler partnered with a fiber and yarn company to develop this special poly-fiber exclusive to Wrangler. It’s that fiber that aids in transporting moisture away from the body in Cool Vantage jeans.

“The best thing about this jean is that it looks and smells just like a jean. No special weaving needed!” Ashley explained. “The one thing our customer will tell you is, ‘Don’t make anything too technical.’ That’s what’s so great about this product.”

Combining Wrangler’s Premium Performance denim with sweat-control technology, Wrangler says these jeans make sure a cowboy never loses his cool (clever, huh?), no matter how hot the day or how tough the job.

So, yeah… Wrangler just made it a little easier to be a cowboy. But don’t worry, cowboys. We won’t tell the ladies if you don’t…

Cool Vantage jeans are available in both regular and slim fits, and both cuts use the Premium Performance denim. Murdoch’s just got our shipments on Friday, May 29th, and we’re excited to see what you think! Comment below once you’ve had a chance to try them out.
