We are breaking down a few of Murdoch’s favorite men’s jeans for all of those guys out there who think one pair is just as good as another. While the quality is top-notch across all of the brands of jeans that Murdoch’s sells, they all fit a guy differently. When clothing manufacturers select denim fabrics, washes, and cuts, their decisions at every point have big impacts on what those jeans look like when you wear them.
Without further a-do, here are four of Murdoch’s favorite men’s jeans.
Carhartt Double-Front Logger Dungaree – These jeans are constructed, not sewn. The loops and pockets make them ideal for the working man, and the loose fit means ease of movement for guys who just don’t sit around.
Cinch Green Label – This pair of jeans still stacks over a boot, but the relaxed thigh and knee make riding and rodeo competing more comfortable. The boot-cut leg opening isn’t as wide as other styles, though, so you might consider it a “slightly tapered boot cut” to be more specific. A higher rise means your jeans still fit well while on horseback or working the land on ATV’s.
Levi’s 501 Original Shrink-To-Fit Jeans – These jeans are the real deal. Still made from raw denim, they will stretch and give to fit your body; however, raw denim needs a lot of time to form to your body. Levi’s says to wait 6 months before you wash them, and after that, to wash them rarely. If they start to stink, freeze them to kill the odor-causing bacteria.
Wrangler Cowboy Cut Rigid Original Fit (13MWZ) – The classic cowboy has loved these jeans for decades. They fit over his boots, are long-lasting, and have a traditional fit. They are the epitome of “if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.”
